Puppy Chicken Meal & Rice

For Puppies

Wholesomes Puppy with Chicken Meal & Rice recipe is formulated for your puppy’s first year. Puppies need twice the amount of nutrients as an adult dog. This nutritious recipe provides extra calories for energy & growth, & high protein to build muscles, organs & strong bones. Wholesomes is made without high-moisture protein sources like corn, wheat or soybeans. Balanced Omega-6 & Omega-3 fatty acids promote healthy skin & coat. Fibers from vegetables and fruits such as apples, blueberries, cranberries, carrots and spinach help support good digestion. Wholesomes supplies your puppy with a 100% complete & balanced diet for a healthy active life.

When we rescued Ranger, we knew we would put him on this food. He loves to eat it, and we love that it has quality ingredients and its affordable. Ranger is now a healthy weight and his coat is gleaming!

Feeding Guidelines

Food for Puppies

Good health begins with proper feeding. Wholesomes can help maintain your dog’s health when combined with exercise, veterinary care, & controlling intake of other food & treats. Use this chart as a guide, adjusting as necessary to maintain optimal weight. Portions will vary according to age, breed, temperament & environment.

When introducing Wholesomes, mix increasing amounts of Wholesomes with decreasing amounts of the current food over a 7 to 10 day period. During gestation & lactation, feed 2 to 4 times the portions recommended for the weight of your adult dog. Puppies often begin to eat solid foods at 3 to 4 weeks of age. Food can be served dry or with warm water (3 parts food to 1 part water). Offer clean, fresh water at all times. See your veterinarian regularly.

Made in our Family-Owned, USA Kitchens

At Wholesomes, we’ve been feeding pets for generations and still have those same Midwestern values that Grandpa Nunn had back in 1926. We’re a family owned business now in our fourth generation and are proud to operate four state-of-the-art facilities in the USA. We mix together years of knowledge, the latest technology and lots of love to serve up tasty meals for your pet. We are proud to give back, too! A portion of all Wholesomes sales go to help the Children of Fallen Patriots.
